CLIMATE CHANGE AND THE ENERGY TRANSITION
Joint Oil recognizes the challenges posed by climate change and we support the goals of the Paris Agreement to limit the rise in global temperature. We acknowledge the significance of carbon reduction as natural gas becomes a vital component of the energy mix, replacing coal and liquid fuels, particularly in developing regions. We prioritize sustainability and embrace CO₂ gas sequestration in any Plan of Development to be submitted with the Operator. Joint Oil firmly believes that gas will play a crucial role in the energy transition and that sustainability and gas production are not mutually exclusive. Thus, we will help the growing demand for energy in Tunisia, by CO₂ gas sequestration POD with its partner and equally Owners ETAP and OLA. Our Energy Transition Strategy and Climate Action Plan is structured around the five themes of Measure; Reduce; Invest; Offset; Report & Disclose.
